It's been a year now
Yeah I started a new life
And still yet whenever
I look back it cuts me
Like a knife
Knowing your not here
Losing you was my worst fear
How I wish you were near
How I miss you my dear

I never dreamed
You'd slip away
Or that I wouldn't
Want to face another day
I wish I knew what to say
Maybe then you'd stay
Maybe you'd be alive today
But the words got in the way

It seems like everyone I know
That their life is getting better
Oh me I've been waiting forever
For everything to fall together
For everything to fall into place
There's just too much that time
Can not erase no it can't erase
I need a smile on my face
Just give me my space
